It's time for our Annual Mustang Stampede Fundraiser!

What is the Mustang Stampede?

The Mustang Stampede is our primary fall fundraiser. During this season of Thanksgiving, we have much to be grateful for - we are hoping students will share the wonderful gift of our school with family and friends as you gather this holiday. This year we will be combining our fundraising efforts with a service project. Raising money for our school allows us to purchase additional resources that help our students learn in innovative ways. Technological advances available to our students here at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School increase the opportunuties to help others in the greater church community. What is the Goal?

Given our previous success, we have set a fundraising goal of $50,000 for this year's Stampede. These funds will be primarily be used to enhance technology campus-wide. In addition, funds will be earmarked for each teacher for classroom needs and for a contribution to the school endowment fund. Our progress will be tracked on "thermometers" that will be posted around campus, so keep your eyes open to see what we have achieved!

Mustang Stampede Event Details

On Thursday, December 7th, all students of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in grades PK3-8 will participate in the Mustang Stampede beginning with a Walk-a-thon on the school track. Upon completion of the walk, students will proceed to the school cafeteria to participate in a service project packing care bags for the Sharing Center - reminding the students that we must share our many gifts. The third and final station will be a "jump for joy" consisting of inflatables in the Annex field. Please look for an email regarding the schedule and volunteer opportunities.

Volunteers

We need you! This event cannot be successful without the help of our wonderful volunteers! Volunteer hours range from at-home tasks to generating buzz in car line! Whatever your strength, we are looking for you! This counts towards your required volunteer hours for the year and will greatly contribute to the success of our event! The "Nitty-Gritty" About Donations

Students are strongly encouraged to ask family, friends, and neighbors to sponsor them for the Walk-a-thon. The students will collect flat-rate donations and return it to school during the two weeks leading up to the Mustang Stampede.

  1. Each student will receive a donation sheet and envelope to collect the donations. We are asking that students collect the money at the time of the donation.
  2. Envelopes with money will be turned in to their homeroom teachers on Thursday, November 29 or Thursday, December 7th. All donations received by 9am on the date specified will be counted for prizes.
  3. The money will be counted and recorded on collection days and PRIZES will be distributed by the following Monday. The more money a student collects increases the amount of prizes he/she wins!
  4. Receipts are available for all donations.
  5. Donations will be accepted via cash, check, credit card (using PayPal). Checks should be made payable to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School. Online and credit card payments can be made through the Donate button at the top of this web page. ***PLEASE NOTE: Please enter the student's name in the section titled "Add special instructions to recipient" on the checkout page so they will receive credit.

Business Sponsors

Another great way to secure donations is to contact local businesses or company matching programs.  These businesses are often happy to support our school and it is a tax-deductible donation.  All business donations also count towards student totals so it is a great way for your student to increase their total amount raised.  Each business that contributes more than $50 will be mentioned in an insert in the Sunday Parish Bulletin.  Please click here to print a Business Sponsor Form.

Prizes

One of the great things about fundraisers for the students is the prizes they are eligible to receive. Students will receive a prize for each fundraising level they reach. Prizes will be distributed by the Monday following the Walk-a-thon.

Incentives for Grades 6-8
Middle School student incentives will consist of a raffle ticket for every $20 raised entered into a raffle for a $25 gift card of your choice each week.

1st  GRAND PRIZE (Highest total dollars collected*):  Two Universal Studios tickets or 4 Volcano Bay tickets.

2nd GRAND PRIZE  (Second highest total dollars collected*): Your choice of a $200 gift card, a Dash Robot, or an XBOX.

3rd GRAND PRIZE  (Third highest total dollars collected*): An iPad.

(*Grand prizes determined by total dollars submitted by 9am on December 6th.)


LOTS OF OTHER GREAT INCENTIVES!

  • 5% of the donations collected from each classroom will be donated back to each class

  • Each HR to reach 100% participation by Thursday, December 7th will receive EXTRA RECESS!*

  • The class with the most dollars raised on Thursday, December 7th will receive a ICE CREAM PARTY!*

  • Classes will be able to earn additional rewards based on total classroom donations
