Technology
At St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School, technology is used to enhance the curriculum throughout the campus. Our school has a state of the art computer lab for full class instruction. The lab has a dedicated technology instructor for all classes K-8 once a week and also has designated time slots for classroom teachers to bring their students for extra computer work. In addition to the lab, classrooms have student desktops and/or iPads, along with a teacher station. All classrooms are equipped with interactive panels.
St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School middle school students are each assigned an iPad for their use for the year. These iPads are managed and monitored by the school. Classroom sets of iPads for student’s in Grades K-5 are located throughout the school campus. iPads are used for various student projects, as centers in primary classrooms, skill re-enforcement, and as a research resource.
Wireless access is available throughout the campus. Internet access is monitored via a content filter and a firewall is in place for a safe and secure online environment.
Other technology highlights include a TEAL (Technology Enhanced Active Learning) Center, live broadcast studio, programmable robotics, a 3D printer, and more.
